Telefunken | Studios™

In early 2006 Telefunken USA began a major expansion to their facility in South Windsor, CT. With the expansion came a new technical production lab and clean room for capsule and microphone assembly and new office and warehouse space. The company also began the complex project of creating a state of the art Research, Test and Development Studio for use in developing new microphone technology. The new recording studio environment is also a major step forward in upgrading Telefunken USA's quality control and testing processes.

The studio is based off a modest sized control room situated directly next to the manufacturing and assembly lab at Telefunken USA's facility. The central location of the control room and isolation booth makes for a positive work flow between the assembly and testing technicians. The studio will house gear from the former Talcott Mountain Studio facility, originally located in Simsbury, CT, as well as its new center piece, the API 1608 console and classic Neve BCM10. The finest pro audio equipment from Digidesign, Grace, Neve, API, GML, Universal Audio and Martech will be installed by the time the studio reaches its final stages early Fall 2007.

Telefunken USA plans to open the studio to the recording public in early 2008. For more details, please email contact@telefunkenusa.com.
